Hello All!
Happy holidays and glad tidings to all.
I have placed myself in a scheduling situation between installations that is irreversable. I have carpet coming in which will be adjacent to tile…(yes I know, I’ll regret it)
~but the tile is going to go in second instead of first.
First, will be the carpet.
For transitions, I have the appropriate ‘schluter’ strips as a termination point between materials.
I want to respect the carpet guys. And have it done in one visit, not have to come back to finish up against the then-installed tile.
Any one see any problem with using construction adhesive such as PL premium to shoot down the ‘schluter’ trim-strips in their proper location(s) onto the [concrete] floor? I can then use the thinset for the rest of the tile job…
Thank you kindly in any regard,

Don't see
a problem with that, as long as you are willing to work FROM the Schluter strip when you start setting tile.
use a 1/4 inch crown stapler with thinset over you will be fine
Another option might be
to make pt dowels and drill 3 or 4 holes under the line of the kerdi strips where you could do a hard fastener attachment to the dowels set in the holes. The kerdi strip is keyed so it can be set in thinset but if you can make an arrangement that would mount them for the carpet guys then pull it for the tile guys, you'll likely benefit from a better job.
