I suspect you may all begin to recognize me here, but I just bought a place and have more and more questions.  The latest:  10′ x 12′ bathroom, second floor, south window.  I widened a door downstairs and took out the heat duct to the bathroom.  I plan on tiling the floor and wondered if anyone’s got advice on electric floor heat.  From the ads it looks simple.  I know I don’t have to place it under the whole bathroom, and figure about a 4′ swath right down the center (so 4′ by 10′).  What’s it going to cost, will it warm a room here in Iowa (it was 4 degrees this morning), and is it reliable?
