I’m a remodler and part time canoe builder. I have built a prototype hardwood strip-on-rib canoe — glued and screwed together. I would like to use a brad or staple instead of the 2000 #2 brass screws that went into the prototype. I need a very short stainless fastener.
Airy is the only gun I have seen that lists length down to 3/8″. Their brad and stapler kit is inexpensive. Is it reasonable quality? Are there alternatives; and where can I get short stainless brads and staples?

Maybe?
*I've got an Airy 18g that I haven't been able to kill in over 10 years of hard work....everyday.A friend of mine bought the regular nail gun. Same story.I'd buy another Airy without hesitation.Ed.
*I posted this earlier, but it seems to have fallen off ??: 1) I would love to see pictures of a hardwood strip canoe. 2) For cedar-strip canoes we use 5/8" or 3/4" brass "tacks" that are clinched over to hold them, the short brads/tacks can't hold with all the flexing.
