I am building a 24×40 cabin on piers. The roof pitch is 8/12 stick built with ceiling joists and rafter ties. Single story. The piers will be 18 inches wide and spaced 8 feet on center with 3 rows. For the grider beam am I able to use rough sawn 8×8 timber.
