I planning two narrow lot houses that require driveways and two off street parking spots. The treed, small sites cannot take that much paving.
I am seeking suggestions on alternatives to concrete or ashphalt paving. I’ve heard of ‘grasscrete’ but don’t know what it is.
Thanks

In older homes like these, the main remodeling goal is often a more welcoming, more social, and more functional kitchen.

I'm not sure but that might be the concrete grids with grass growing out of them that I have seen occasionally. I have been told that water percolates through the open grid and have seen that grass grows fairly well. At least when there is not too much traffic.
Have seen ground/chopped old asphalt roofing spread and rolled. Also the 3/8 wide strips from the mfg of 3-tab spread and rolled.
Grass grows up thru both pretty readily if only 1" deep, yet keeps the mud manageable.
There are numerous houses in our area (zone 6-7) that have grass paver blocks for their driveway and one in particular, a parking area for about 4 cars.
Grass grows well through it and heavy traffic doesn't kill the grass.
Within a season the grass seems to occupy the block holes reasonably full.
Some owners let the grass grow taller instead of mowing.
It is also possible to embed a strip of these blocks as runners in a lawn.
