Alternative to stone threads

RickL750 | Posted in General Discussion on July 20, 2006 09:37am

Hi Guys,

I’m looking for an alternative to the usual stone threads that are offered like bluestone, etc. I would like to find an economical alternative. Are their any concrete precast threads or something like that out there?

<!—-><!—-> <!—->

Thank you,

I've never sown with stones before. Sounds really difficult! How do you thread the needle and what size do you need to use?

      >I've never sown with stones before.

All you do is spread them out on the ground and wait for them to grow.

To sew with bluestone thread, you get a diamond saw and cut it into little slivers . . . . .  ;)

Not as difficult as it sounds. See what happens when you don't use the spell check.

You mean 'spelling' check, don't you? Only witches would need 'spell' check.: )

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming

    WOW!!! What a Ride!

Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!

Here's a light weight foam plastic artificial stone.  Is that what you're looking for?

Hey, no fair hijacking the spelling thread!

      There's also Nichiha:

      http://www.nichiha.com/stone.htm

      and Synstone:

      http://www.synstone-systems.com/

I know little about these products otherwise, however.  Ask me in a few months, after I've decided what's going on my house.  : )

He never clarified what he was looking for.If it was TREADS instead of threads then some of the items suggested would work.
