I have to decide whether or not to have antifreeze installed in my water lines for my FHW system. I live in New Hampshire, and the thought is that antifreeze is added protection against freeze-ups, when the power fails. My concern is that I have been told that the antifreeze will accelerate the decomposition of my copper lines – by causing corosion to form. Any truth to this? Is antifreeze O.K? Thank you very much.
