Hello to everyone! Are there any ideas how I may insert a raclette grill in my kitchen? I have not so much space for it. Moreover, I think, I’ll need some kind of range hood, do you have any experience with home grilling? Tell me about the special features of it.
Do I need a special coal hood?
Thank you in advance. I attached the picture of a raclette grill, whicj looks like mine.

We had a similar product a few years ago and gave it away. It wasn’t that it was bad, just took up a lot of space and we did not use it often. They’re designed as table top grills and that’s how ours was used. We only used it at parties which allowed our guests to sit around the table and grill their own food. It does not require a hood, but opening a window or placing on top of stove to use its hood is a good idea. For everyday use an outdoor grill wins hands down, but if you are unable to have an outdoor grill and you entertain a lot it might be a good thing to have. For our lifestyle it didn’t work out so well. All our friends usually end up drinking beer outside around the grill.

Hi! For small spaces, place your raclette grill on a heat-resistant surface. A range hood helps with smoke, but raclette grills are low-smoke. If you want to try charcoal grilling, check out Expert Grills—compact and efficient, perfect for home use! No special coal hood needed, just a regular range hood.
