In that article they say:
"We will be able to make oil for $8 to $12 a barrel," says Paul Baskis, the inventor of the process.
Seems like if that were true, they'd be doing it right now. Aren't we paying $30~ for crude oil from the middle east?
Maybe I'm just being skeptical. It sounds great, if it's true. But that cold fusion thingy a few years back was also supposed to be a big breakthrough...
I guess we'll know in a few years.
If you involved in too many things, the only thing you will excel at is being busy.
I agree that it's unproven as far as commercial application goes, but as the article said, the first large plant is just about to open. As for why it isn't already in full production: Given when the idea came about I think it's moving along quickly.

Intereseting article, would be very cool if it were true, but like Boss I am somewhat skeptical.
Guess time will tell, it would be nice if there were more articles out there to check it against.
Thanks for the interesting read

I don't think the idea is all that new - I remember talking about this back when I was in grade school, back in the 1970s.
That cold fusion stuff was also supposed to revolutionize the way we prouce energy, but didn't pan out.
I don't mean to be TOO skeptical - I just wanna wait a bit before opening up the champagne. The secret of the universe is @*%#|&^^^.......NO CARRIER
Cool article. Thanks.
