I have a roofing problem. I have an asphalt roof over SIP panels and the shingles are buckling at the seam of the panels. Found some information on older post, but not what the final answers were. Does anyone out there know why this happened, and some source material (links).
Thanks
Tom

Obviously it's happening due to motion at the seams. You see the same, to a smaller degree, with plywood sheathing (vs plank sheathing). The larger the sheet used for sheathing, the more motion there will tend to be at each seam, all other things being equal.
It''ll be worse if no felt was used under the shingles -- the felt tends to act as a "slip sheet".
Tom,
This was discussed before. Panels were not sealed at the edges and moisture cause the osb to swell and rot.
I could not find the link showing the damage but here is another.
