Here is a question.
I was putting baseboard trim on in a ICF basement that had drywall on the icf. I made sure I was nailing into the plastic reinforcing strip and nailed at different angles to the same strip. The baseboard still felt loose though. I was using 2″ brads.
Any tricks for attaching trim to drywall covered ICF? I thought about glue, but if the homeowner would want to remove trim it would probably wreck the drywall.
Thanks.

Trim
Unfortunately glue is the easiest. To remove later, score drywall at the top of the base to keep from stripping paper face off where it will be seen later when reinstalling the base.
You could take the time to use trim screws and plastic anchors into the drywall-but that's way too time consuming and finding the screws later (and cleaning out the screw hd) would be tough.
Never worked with trim on ICF's, but have put it up on almost all non wood backed surfaces.
Baseboard for icf
Another way would be to score , cut, and remove say 3" of the drywall. Replace this with 3" strips of 1/2" plywood screwed to the plastic webs. If you are using say 3 1/2" baseboard, just nail to the plywood.
