This question comes from Montreal Quebec
What would be causing heavy buildup of frost on the under side of the roof plywood? I have seen this in two houses this winter, both with minimum eight twelve pitches, R thirty one insulation, Maximum vents, and large vented soffits. In one house during a warm spell the frost fell off the plywood onto the insulation, when I peeked into the attic it looked as though there had been a blizzard in there. When the warm whether comes there could be serious water damage to the ceiling gyprock,
any and all suggestions would be welcome, thanx

Water vapour from thje interior of the house is finding it's way into the attic and the tempsare extremely coldenuf to condense it as frost.
