I’m putting down a plywood floor as part of my workshop renovation, and came across a problem. I’ve been laying plastic, pt 2×4 sleepers and 3/4 tg underlayment(with glue/screws). After installing most of the floor I noticed a mushy spot. It seems that the second lamination in part of one sheet is missing or full of big knots. I don’t really want to cut the whole thing out. I thought about driling a few holes and shooting construction adhesive in…
Any ideas?

Cut out the bad spot....reframe that area to carry a patch.....cut a patch from a scap piece..glue and screw. If the spots to big, tear the whole thing out.
*Rip/cut it out and replace. If you can easily reframe to use a patch that's fine, or just replace the whole sheet.
*Sometimes it's easier and quicker to stop looking for an easier and quicker way and just do it the right way. Cut it out, pop in a couple of 2x scraps, patch it. 30 minutes if you're slow.Done
