Does anyone have experience with Strand Woven Bamboo flooring in the Kitchen? It is suppose to be 100 % stronger than Red Oak and regular Bamboo flooring?

Since you haven't gotten any replies, you may want to try posting your question on the "Breaktime" forum--it has a larger audience. Go to the green box at the top of this page and click on "Breaktime" after it reads "Other Taunton Sites:".
PS, I think questions about bamboo flooring in kitchens have been asked here before too. You can get those discussions by going to "advanced search" at the top of the listing of discussions and after clicking on that, ask it to find discussions with the word "bamboo"--that may get you some answers. Good luck.

Good timing. I just ordered and received strand woven bamboo to use in my living and dining rooms. I had tested samples of both horizontal and vertical orientations of bamboo, and found that all of them had a level of softness which i found to be unacceptable. The strand woven is by far the hardest I've found. I whacked it pretty good to test it and nothing. I had to take a house key and drive it in in order to dent it. I recommend it. I used a Yanchi brand through Builders Direct. They recommend it acclimate for a couple of days, but i'm letting it set at least a couple of weeks to be sure.
