I’m doing over my basement. I taking out 1 lolly colum. I want to hide the lamb beam up against the 1st floor. How should I attach the joist hangers, nails or screws. Thank you for any help.

You could box it all in with wood and drywall, or just wood, which you would stain and varnish and make it look like a beam.
I have never heard of a lamb beam.

Lamb beams go over goat posts. I'll betcha a nickle he's talking about a "laminated" beam, LVL or somesuch.

I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair.
Use nails for joist hangers. Make sure they are the right size for the hanger. Usually sold in boxes beside were you found the hangers.
Nails for this application are for shear loads. Screws will not work.
