I am planning on having sprayed-foam insulation installed….I wanted Corbond, the contractor is out of Corbond and suggests to install BASF instead of Corbond, which I never heard of….he claims it is more expensive but will offer at same price….given I’ve heard good things about Corbond but never heard of BASF, does anyone have an opinion of this stuff? I’m trying to get attic foamed while my bathroom is gutted for reno, but with all the problems with the bathroom I’m wondering if I should do foam some other time i.e. wait for Corbond….

I used corbond in our home. I have not heard of basf around where we live.
If the chemical composition is the same for both products I would not worry about the brand names. I would be more concerned about the installers qualifications to install foam insulation in general. If the installer is applying the foam correctly, the actual manufacturer should be less of a worry.
BASF is a huge international company, headquartered in Germany, with one of their product divisions selling urethane foam chemical products to many industries, one of them being the industry that foam-insulates residential housing projects.
The foam insulation guys operating around me use BASF products, the resin and the iso. I would not have a worry about the quality, if it is coming from the same foam contractor that quoted you Corbond.
