OK, I have a bathroom remodel that involves a tub/shower with a double hung wood window inside. Need to keep the window per se, but will need to replace it. Can anyone suggest a window brand, style etc. that would eliminate the obvious problems of water damage?? the tub surround will be tiled, and plan to case the window with a solid vinyl, as minimal as possible. Glass block is out, and dont want any so called “high tech” paints etc. over wood. Am running out of good ideas!!!! HELP
Thanx guys…

I just did a bathroom this summer with a window in the shower. I installed a vinyl window , the glass should be tempered to meet code. I wrapped the tile into the window. Before that i wrapped al the framing with a rubber flashing tape and then installed hardie board to accept the tile.
In a rental I had a similar problem.
I installed
roofing ice dam over framing then cement board then the vinyl window followed by vinyl fencing boards and a good bit of white 100% silicone caulk. 1o years now and it still going strong.
Vinyl window, Azek trim
