Hi all. My bathroom remodel. My plan is to install 19″ ceramic wall hung sink. To be installed over ceramic tile installed over green board. I know that I need a wood ledger board behind the rock to accept/hold the wood screws that secure the sinks’ wall bracket. Is it a better method to extend or build out a small portion of the wood ledger board to flush with the tile in order to accept the bracket screws directly instead of having to screw through the tile and rock to reach the ledger board? I was afraid that screwing the wall bracket directly over the ceramic tile might crack the tile and dig into or compromise the rock behind it loosening the brackets’ tight connection to the wall? Thanks for any and all comments.

If you could leave out a couple of tile where the layout says the bolts need to go and still be covered by the back of the sink, sure.
Leave the tiles that you don't put in there in the linen closet for the poor bastard that gets hired to do something else.
spot glue a couple wood shims the tile thickness in the blank spaces.

If you are worried about crushing of the rock behind the tile, put a piece of cement board in that location. Also, make sure the wood backing is flush with the studs. This will prevent the hanger from cracking the tile as it is tightened.
Lastly, forget the green board, use regular rock. Every inspector and drywall contractor I've asked has said the stuff shouldn't be used.
