Bathtub spouts/fillers?

| Posted in General Discussion on January 8, 2002 05:54am

I am preparing to remodel my bath in my own home and would like to find a tub spout/filler that is more decorative than the typical spouts available, possibly something like those for deck mounted fillers but in a wall mount. All the major manufacturers {Kohler,Moen, etc.} seem to offer only the typical design. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!

I think that the American Standard Amarilis Jasmine has a nice looking spout. The diverter is not on the spout.

*Where are you looking for your faucets? The plumbing aisle at HD or Lowe's?Get a copy of the Kohler Faucets book (170147-AA) or go to a real showroom.

*Another from the regular bath and powder room book. You could also design and have a local fabricator make a spout with any variety of materials.

*You could try Jado bath hardware at http://www.jadousa.comI just finished an extensive remodel and we used these products. Don't fall over but the master bath mixing valve was $3194.00

*I just installed one of these for the misses. Got it from faucet.com. She likes it.You probably don't want the whole thing but they have a good selection of alot of other stuff.Mike

*If you want something toward the high end but not quite as high as what Pat has listed, you might check outhttp://shop.toohome.com/html/lines/line_6.aspor perhaps a little further down:http://www.plumbingsupply.com/decorativeplumbing.html

    Dsquare,

I just remodeled a family bathroom in my house and I bought Jado fixtures all around.  I am very happy with the Hatteras tub spout.  Here is a link:

    http://www.jadousa.com/results.asp?searchID=1&collectionID=1324&categoryID=152

Here's a shot of the tub filler ... not a great shot ... the reflection of the tile makes the polished crome look old, but the finish is actually beautiful.

    Best  luck in your modeling!
