Here it is Saturday night, and I suddenly wonder if I’d rather forego the center beamed 2×6’s, and use maybe 9″ BCIs, to span 13′. I THINK they’ll do it, but does anyone have a table, and an approximate cost per LF? This is rural Oregon coast.

Look around here, you'll find it all eventually. You'll have to wait til Monday to get a price though. Joe H

Joe, thanks, and I found that link last night. But I never can figure out what load factor to use!
Pricing varies from one area to the next a great deal, depending on competition, dealers, and shipping costs from the mills. But a reasonable guess would be in the $1.20 to 1.35 range.
Getting a span chart off the internet also won't help, unless you know for sure what brand you're going to buy. Go to a lumberyard or truss plant that sells them and they'll have all the info you need.
Oregon should be on the cheap end of the scale? Here in SoCal 9½" TJI 150 series (I think that's the same as BCI small?)were $1.07 two weeks ago. Joe H
