I never thought I would find anything more fun that building stairways….but the gyrocopter flying has got to be the most fun I will ever have. It is very relaxing cruising over the crops in the evening.

Quittin' Time
Well its about time! I was missing my weekly dose of flying pics...yes I bet early morning and late evening flying is real smoooth. I love that lake. stinky
Stan,
If you already answered this, my apologies and maybe a point to the thread...
I was wondering if you could post some background about gyrocopters ie: do they require a license? some typical stats such as cost, speed and range? IIRC, you built yours? Maybe you'd be kind enough to post a link to the source?
Inquiring minds and all that... thanks for the pics!
PaulB
Paul: You need a pilots license to fly my gyrocopter. There are some veyr light weight ones out there that barely pass as an ultralight and thus no license is needed. Mine is a pretty serious machine and not like the flying lawn chairs I used to fly.
You can go to American Autogyro and find information on the SparrowHawk that I fly.

As everyone else I have injoyed looking and reading your posts on your favorite past time...... I think those were deer in one of the pictures you had in the field, you ought to mount a 50 cal. and go deer hunting!!
Semper Fi
Excellent deer hunting platform. As an aero engineer I can get you a deal on a set of .50 cal machine guns or better yet, how about some sidewinders! Second thought you might have some weight problems with all that hardware, but it is FUN!
Experienced, but still dangerous!
You always seem to provide outstanding photos when flying. Love to see them. My question is this: can you fly and talk on the cell phone at the same time? Thanks for providing some exceptional pics, look forward to them all the time!
Ernie: I can plug my cell phone into my headphones and receive and make calls. Come in handy sometimes.....

don't the farmers get mad when you scare their corn like that?
(show off) :)
and great photos . . .
