Hello, I am going to be renovating a bathroom this winter, and am wondering what pros and cons are to different materials installed over electric radiant heat. First I have no other choice for heat source as the house has steam heat and there is no where to put radiators in the design. There are other reasons for using electric so other heat choices are not an option. I would prefer to use wood on the floor but not sure what type [solid, engineered etc.]. I have used stone tile over electric heat in another bathroom and may do it here again. The bathroom will only be used by one adult, so water on floor is not a problem. Again thanks for all input and ideas on this subject.

I've only used tile over radiant electric, works well but not really enough to heat a room up. Used wood flooring over hydronic radiant lots of times. Maybe wood would work over electric, don't know.
