I’m looking for recommendatons for a sealer (preferably water-based) to use on a five year old Chinese Black slate floor and counters. It was originally finished with a very stinky(I assume oil based) sealer from an unkown German company. It held up fine, but is unknown, too toxic for the client, and probably illegal in the SF bay area anyways. The slate has become more difficult for the homeowner to clean, indicating that it has largely worn off,and in need of a new coat of sealer. Any prep tips?? Thanks.
