Wood, whether plywood or planks, is the best floor for a wood shop. Anything that drops to the floor won't be damaged.
*Wood you bet, it's warmer, softer on the legs and you can screw anything down any time. Should be flat though for work. If the boards are t&g and are flat, have at it. I'm envious.
