New decking under ashpalt shingles and under modified rolled roofing. Using 43lb base sheet nailed with metal caps and AWAPLAN 170 top sheet has hot tar under it to bond to base sheet.
New GAF Armor Shield II shingles on house. What’s the best way to tie these two roofs together?

The modified goes up the shingle slope and a course or two or shingles comes back over the top of the modified. Those dimensions vary according to the situation and climate.

Should the base sheet be place under there, too? Should there be a heavier based tie in sheet between the base sheet and top sheet?
