I just received the bosch which is replacing the flying dewalt. When I took it out of the box the first adjustment needed was the slides had alot of play in them. After I fixed that I checked the blade for wobble, unfortunately it has alot of side play in the shaft.
Back in the box it goes. The frustrating part is when you do mail-order amazon/toolcrib can’t check the next saw they are sending because it is being drop shipped from the manufacturer. They are standing behind their product, I just hope the next saw does not have the same problem as the one going back.

Just got the bosch 10" scms and checked it out and everything is snug and square but so is my 8 year old makita. .......Rik..........
I checked two of my older saws (one damaged beyond repair) both of those have no play on the blade shafts
Makita.
If the next one is not right I'll switch to makita
Jim,
I appreciated your post in the last thread of the recurring threads about SCMSs. Based on your praise for the Makita, and the Bosch blade wobble issue (which many other reviews have said is fixed)I ended up getting the 12" Makita SCMS. I thought that the 10" would probably be enough for what I want to do, but I wanted the free cordless impact driver instead of the free cordless drill...we'll see if that decision pays off. I should get it in a few days. Have a good weekend.
I just recieved the second 4412 bosch saw, I checked the arbor shaft before throwing it in my truck, this one seems ok, I will check the rest over tonight.
The old saw was picked up by ups, amazon/toolcrib took care of the problem quickly with no hassles.
