Looking at buying a Bostitch N62FNK-2 15 guage finish nailer. Any opinions + or – on this gun? Are there different finish nail types and if so, does this gun use what would be most useful for interior trim? Thanks for your help

I've had the bostich 15 ga finish nailer for about 10 years, no problems ever. I used to use it almost daily, retired now so I only use it occasionally. Use bostich nails, they are close in appearance to a hand finish nail. I have tried generic nails for the bostich gun, got a few jams and never used them again. This gun shoots 1 1/4",2", and 2 1/2" 15 gauge brad nails. This gun is perfect for trim, angled nailer, comfortable and reliable. I have used most nailers on the market, almost all of them do a good job.
I bought the bostich mainly because I had used one for several years without problems. When it came time to buy my own, I settled on old reliable.

I got one a few months ago. It's a good gun, I've had zero problems with it. I wish it had a dry fire lockout, but it's not a big deal. Bostitch nails (FN style) are a little bit less common than the DA style (senco, hitachi, PC).
As you probably know, this is a gun for larger trim, it does well on 4/4 and 5/4 casing and baseboard. It's too big for things like shoe moulding, and thin modern trims.

I have it. when new it was sticky but once I ran a few nails thru it and sprayed WD40 to keep them from sticking it's worked flawless since.. I did buy a Hitachi when I needed another nailer and that's been excellant and highly recommended by the pros..
