Bostitch MIIIFS flooring stapler ??
Just recently recieved my stapler and need to put it to use within the next 2-3 days. Question is – can I simply cover the foot with painters tape or something to make it more suitable for pre-finished oak 3/4?
Good thing is that it looks like Stanley has a rebate deal where you get the finish flooring shoe free with a mail-in form. Bad thing is – I need to use it SOON.
So – temp use with tape or felt or something? Or should I just go buy one retail and then sell the one I get free later on?
Any tips on use?
Never done a nail-down hardwood floor – any tips will be appreciated.
Any good forums or help sites for tips?
Thanks,
Julian

I have the cleat version and the shoe is teflon. Isn't yours? As far as using it, set the pressure per the instructions, line it up carefully on the material, and smack the plunger with the mallet. You'll be moving like a pro pretty quickly. Mine will fire after it's out of cleats, and yours probably will too, so keep an eye out. It doesn't hold that many.
