Buying a new construction house. Offer is accepted. Inspection came back. Inspector found that the master bathroom tub is damaged. Inspector says tub requires repair to prevent water damage. Realtor and I asked for replacement, they came back with them repairing it. I am concerned. I’m not a contractor to know by looking what is too far gone. Tub is an enclosed unit about 3/4 the way up the wall. I feel like this is unacceptable, is it?

Hold out for a new tub. The repair won't last indefinitely and when it fails and leaks and causes damage you will pay for it. The inspector should be protecting you and I'm surprised that he/she indicated repair rather than replace.
I’m a contractor. I would not get away with doing that and wouldn’t even think about trying to pull that one over. You’re buying a new house and should get new and unused/undamaged product. My customers would lose their minds over something like this. Request a new replacement. Check the papers you have signed and received, I’m sure there is something about quality, condition and etc as it’s a new home. It’s what builders are supposed to do, don’t have any guilt about requesting this.
It's a new house. The tub is not new.

As already said, that’s not new construction. From the perspective of a construction attorney, that is most likely a breach of the construction contract. From a layperson’s perspective, that’s garbage.
