We are ready to order about 45 feet of cabinets. Many pretty cabinets on the market but lots of junk beyond
face frame. I don’t like to patronize the big box stores but I ran across the KraftMaid brand and find that Lowes has the exclusive sales rights for their top ranked line called Cross Creek by KraftMaid.
Anyone have any experience with KraftMaid?
Or anyone have a better recommendation.
We are looking for high end but not custom. The Cross Creek by KraftMaid is one of the few offering all wood construction including inside exposed surface and shelves. They also have lots of options and in this case a person that knows their product.

Have you checked out a local cabinet maker? He could probably make you quality cabs for a competitive price.
At Darkworks cut to size made to burn......Putty isnt a option
have you checked out anyother place aside from Lowes that carries Kraftmaid?
Do a quick search......read and learn. Big box sucks for K and B cabs. Who's gonna do the install? I'll install what ever brand you want.......I have a few I'll recommend because my cab distributor carry them...and I like my cab dist.
On brands they don't carry.......a quick look in the yellow pages tells me what real distributor carries that brand.
Anything offered only at Lowes...or HD...isn't anyone's Top Line! Who told ya that.....let me guess.....the sales person at Lowes.....funny how that works, huh?
And what is the basis that the person on duty that day at Lowes is knowledgeble?
I'd lay money that most any cab designer that works for a real cab distributor knows their design and product line better than someone that works Lowes.
And just wait till the inevitable damaged order and packing error strikes.......the big box's are notorious for not solving problems.
Consider yourself warned.......but buy where ever ya want.
As for Kraftmaid......still a good product...but I've been thinking their quality going slightly downhill as late. IE......glue on the inside of cab's.....those ugly metal triangle staples on the backs of face frames.....looks terrible with glass front doors.......just installed a maple set that needed a good bit of fighting to straighten the bowed face frames to a decent fit.....
Nothing too bad.....a first time installer might not even notice.....but if it adds time to my install...I notice!
