Hey All,
I’ve got an off-set, flush cut, dovetail-type saw made by Sandvik. It’s got an unimpressive black painted wood handle and had the name “RAZOR” printed on the side of the blade before I wore it off with 5-6 years of hard use. It has proved to be one of my best and most useful tools. Alass, nothing lives forever. It has tiny, hardened, Japeneese style teeth which don’t seem to sharpen well and since it probably cost less than $20.oo new, I wouldn’t mind replacing it. If I could ever find another one that is. As a matter of fact I’d probably take a case, and be the off-set-flush-cut saw king of the mid south.
Can’t find ’em, can’t find an address for the company, can’t even find any other Sandvik products, now that i’m looking. I’ve got several other much nicer brass and rose wood off-set saws that I keep in the cabinet tool bag for show, but none work even half as well as the trusty Sandvik.
Thanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are all over Dallas.
But I don't know your real name........
So I guess I can't send you one......
Pity.

*Phat, Sandvik Saws and Tools was bought by Snap On tools, a maker of high quality (and price) mechanics tools, in April of '99. You should be able to find a distributor wherever you happen to live, or take a trip to Dallas. Hope this helps. Rich.
*Phat, I bought one at Home Desperate, check out your local big orange box.
*HMMM....None here. The arbitrary nature of what the orange place stocks, even from one store to another in the same city, is one of the things I hate about them the most. P.B.
*Check out Hardwick and Sons in Seattle, on the web by now if what I got from a salesperson the other day was correct. If you ever get to Seattle go to this store, way too many toys, not enough time...or maybe money, I forget which.
