I recently acquired 4,000 bricks from the company which was tearing down my old high school (nothing to make you appreciate your age like seeing your old schools get knocked down!). The building dated from 1921, and the bricks are of a “medium” hardness….not terribly soft, but not as hard as pavers…..
I’ve got these 8 or so pallets of bricks stacked up outside. They’re probably going to be there a couple or three years before I get around to a project to use them. They are all in generally pretty good shape (morter well removed, not too nicked up, etc).
Aside from throwing a tarp over them, do I need to worry about any weather-induced degredation? Also, what do you think about just wrapping them in stretch-wrap (sides and top) instead of tarping (it’d make me feel a little better about the structural integrity of the pile should one of the nieces or nephews decide to play blocks with them…….). –Ken
