I’m building a deck and used those tubes for cementing pillars in the ground for 4 x 4 posts. Now that the cement has cured, do I try to remove the cardboard tubes from the concrete or do I just fill dirt around the hole and not worry about the tubes being in the ground?
Replies
fill in around the tubes. don't bother to take off the sono tube.
okay... thanks for the help
I strip to just below grade, makes for a little neater finish.
Get a puppy, preferably a large breed like a lab or golden. Wait a few days and he will have stripped almost everything in the back yard.

hahaha.. i like your technique the best.
Yeah, just peel off the tube enough to get it below the grade. If you leave it, it just dries out and looks terrible. Wet it down some and it breaks off easier.
