Hey Joe
it's kind of protocol for someone that's wanting to run an advertisement to pay for it.
You got a choice-talk to FHB about installing a popup that will annoy everybody here that comes for something else.
or
Send 500.00 dollars (or more) worth of hand tools to Mike 585 to give away at this summer Breaktime Fest.
thanks.
Ok
Hey Calvin,
Thanks for your gentle and humorous correction to me. I'd rather pay with hand tools.
Although I've been a FHB subscriber since issue one, I don't participate in forums, in fact this is my first post ever, but still I kinda figured an "ad" might not be exactly kosher.
However I really do think PlanTabs are a valuable tool for builders and am exited to offer them, and at least they are "on topic"- a building product, not viagra or something like that . Also I really would like feedback on them, not just looking for trafffic to the website.
Feedback by mid July
You might want to send some of those tabs to the Fest coordinator-Mike585 for distribution at this summers gathering.
Look in the Fest folder and make contact there-the current discussion should be on the top-
thanks.
I figured somehow to you the oftentimes declaration by our members of SPAMMER might not be the way to go.
Gotta agree with Calvin that your post looks a little bit like an advertisement (although we had a guy here that for a while he was posting photos his wifes custom ceramic tiles. Couched in an artistic slant but still possibly an ad. I'm sure if someone contacted her via the posts here the business would not be declined.). But outside of that you took his suggestions well and outside of that, if you're looking for feed back, I like the idea. I'd do some patent research to 1): be sure no one has come up with the idea and 2): If the answer to 1 is "no", to protect yourself.
Nice idea! Once you're set, I'd throw an ad in FHB and see what happens.
The best of luck!
Doug
Other relevant comments aside ... nice product and idea, but I question the durability of always grabbing the tab to open to the sheet ... but then you simply have to get used to grabbing the tab and inserting the finger at the location ... no that doesn't work either ... puts you on a page too deep. I can see them easily getting ripped off the page. I've worked w/ plans for 30 years, pawing through them and I guess I think it's easy to read the sheet index and thumb through the corners to locate the page. If I'm frequently using the same page, I take a copy of only that page into the field.
