Give me some insight to how the big job is installed , on sheathing or slats . What type of water barrier under it, for condensation and maybe the average per square for materials and labor. I would like to bid on a big job coming up and would like some idea’s from the gang . My common sense would tell me the better job is 30 lb felt on sheathing with metal over. Most likely to save on cost it is put on slats with no felt on most commercial jobs today. Thanks A lot . Ron Rosa

Ron,
Not enough info. What kind of metal roof? Pitch? Rake and eave pieces? ect?
I do 5-v, sm and pbr mostly on residial. Round figures on those are $100 materials and $100 labor a square on the bottom end. I would much rather use purlins, don't need toeboards.
Lots of different insulation choices. Don't you have prints?

*Right now the only info i have is a standing seam metal roof. They want a color choice. Hidden fastners. I know of some outfits that have a machine much like a gutter machine to make these on site. Is that the norm or do most order there panels to spec. Thanks Ron.
*Ron,Standing seam is double the cost in materials. The one I have info on, Sem-Lock , goes on over sheathing with 30# felt. Not many of them down here in hurricane country. If you want a spec sheet email me and I will mail it to you.Try http://www.mtlsales.com/KK
*b WBA At Your ServiceRon, You're a daring guy taking on a job like this. You need to find out if the customer has specs on what product they want before you can determine what to put under it. Once the product is chosen, the manufacturer will specify its application. Here is another brand for you.http://www.atas.com/
*I love the challange of something new. I started out as a roofer and have branched out over the years into whatever I can. Additons, decks, siding, framing, masonary, fencing, anything. This I have some back ground with and right now we are just getting into this bid. I just want a heads up before I walk in the door to talk.
