Concrete and EIFS. Weather conditions
Hello all,
I have a concrete driveway and porch that needs to be poured plus the EIFS has to be done on the front facade on my new build. How late into the fall can this be done? Is there a particular temperature that the weather needs to stay above?
Thanks,
DP

dperfe,
As long as the liquid in the mix doesn't freeze, your ok.

And the ground under it can't be frozen either. That is probably a bigger limiting factor.
Great thanks,
Was getting a little worried since the build process is moving slower then i was anticipating.

we pour all year round, even at night but the rule of thumb is above 40 for 48 hours
Your EIFS contractor will know the limits on the product he is using.
Most are above 40 degree F for 24 to 48 hrs. The closer to 40, the longer the cure time, and the longer it must be protected from inadvertant touching. I have build tents over EIFS s to portect it and add a little solar heat to the cure cycle.
