I have my own concrete counters and love them, however what is the best way to secure the dishwasher to the countertop? The small tapcon I used last year has finally vibrated loose for the last time, I could put a metal strap across the top and tie it in to the cab sides on either side and then put a metal screw thru the dw tabs into the strap. any simpler/better ideas?

Try using a little lead anchor then screw into it an inch if your countertops are 2 inches or more.
