Hi-
Stopping here again for expert advice from you guys (and gals)…
So here goes…if a guy was going to have a 34′ x 22′ garage slab poured, 4″ thick with the perimeter deepened 8″ x 12″, what type of questions should I be asking of a potential contractor? I am concerned about spending several thousand dollars and ending up with a wavy out of level floor like I have now. Should a power float be used when floating a slab like this, or if the contractor says he can do it by screeding with a 2×4 and using a hand/bull float, is that acceptable? I want a nice slab, and a flat one, but am also a realist when it comes to price. I will be moving my garage and having the old crumbling slab excavated, and replaced with the new one.
Any advice on this in general would be appreciated. Thanks!
Brian
