To make a long story short, I have 120 sq ft of concrete entry porch,
two radius cheek walls, and five stairs 16″ run that need to be top
coated with something to cover my rookie concrete butt…
I’ve started with weld-crete under Featherspread, which is a
fast-setting, polymer modified concrete topping compound. I find it to
be impossible to broom finish, and liable to cure with white
patchiness, possibly due to my application technique. What is the
cats-meow for relativley thin (1/4 to 1 inch) top coating on new
concrete that is in a high traffic exterior location? Winters are mild,
with few temperatures below 15 farenheit. The broom finish is not
mandetory at this stage.
