I’m getting ready to put down a 3/4″ Maple floor in my living room which has an outside entrance. My question is how do I go about joining the two. There is about a 3/4″ metal threshold that is screwd down to the bottom door sill, does this come off and a wood one go in?

..Bil , you have to get creative....go look at how others have handled the problem....usually the flooring stops just short of the threshold and a molding covers the gap...
