cordless millwalkee jigsaw????

| Posted in Tools for Home Building on February 5, 2004 03:29am

Does any one have the 12volt cordless jigsaw?   Im thinking about buying one , I’ve got the 18volt 4pc set  light circ saw sawzall 1/2in hammer drill and want a cordless jigsaw ,

I’ve got a corded jigsaw that I love with quick blade feature .   Still want cordless.

I know , I know, get the Bosch 18 or 24volt jigsaw, I would but ive got the millwalkee set, and even though it is 12volt my  charger will charge all the batteries.

so to keep things simple its the millwalkee,  Im just wondering how it performs with the lower voltage , or does it matter much.    It comes with two batteries and a universal charger. and sells locally for 200.00  could get it cheaper but the place can repair the tools they sell .

                                                      Thanks    Dogboy

Oh ya , do they make a stronger voltage   14,  18  or 24.   I havent been able to find any info.

Letter to my self. and anyone that cares about this.

Millwalkee has discontinued the 12volt jigsaw. I found this from Millwalkee site.   they are still on the shelves at some stores. so you can still get it .

Millwalkee wont say that there making a new cordless jigsaw, but they are saying they are working on new tools for there 18volt tool line up, and sence they have discontinued the 12volt saw already, it only makes sense that is one tool that they will get on the market as soon as they can.

just about every tool maker has a good cordless jigsaw , and millwalkee knows the market will make it worth there while to make one.  Ill buy one , I can see it now . Two bags one with a Hammer 1/2 in drill , sawzall, three batteries and a charger in it the other bag with a circ saw 6 1/2 in blade, a nice new 18volt jigsaw two new batteries another charger and a flashlight  what a nice setup. and the beautiful red radio.       Tool heaven
