2" galv. hot dipped ring shank.
i would just fight the hose, when you are laying shingles you may want to nail faster than the cordless gun will cycle. that sais paslode makes a hoseless stapler, but i think it shoots construction stapler type stapels

Paslode cordless framer in my hands has laid a few hundred SQ. of cedar shingles on the roof. Have not used for siding, but can't see why it would be a problem.
Nails-- ring shank gal. They range from 2" - 3 1/4".
