Two yrs ago, I had a basement rough-in finished and extensive slab work was done to move drains. This year hairline cracks formed around and through the ceramic tiles over the old hole. I remember the crew removed more dirt than they replaced and didn’t compact it. Could this be the cause of the cracks even though rebar was used to cement the new slab to the old? I want to make sure the fix is permanent this time. Will be doing the work myself w/plumbing and a little concrete experience. Anyone know if the Bosch Bulldog is powerful enough to hammer through 4 inches of concrete.
