I am going to the midwest for some vacation time and to add a 2nd full bath, expand the master bedroom and do some wainscot and trim work on a 90 year old craftsman/prairie style home that my brother in-law owns.
Does anyone know where I can find some info on these styles of homes to brush up a little before I make my trek? We want to keep with the period somewhat, but would like to incorporate some modern conveniences and material for the project.

Tons of resources there. You might want to check your library for back issues.. Also look on line and see which ones have articles that interst you and buy them.
Also look at their bookstore and also the FHB books. Then go to you local library and larger bookstore.
I seem to remember that Taunton has a book on either Bungalow or Craftsman Bathrooms (which I'm hoping will show up under my tree in just a bit). That is probably the most specific reference out there.
Pop into the local Hastings or brans & ignoble, and browse through their shelves for a quick "refresh," too.
I reccomend a copy of the original, by the original - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1585744921/qid=1070287172/sr=1-6/ref=sr_1_6/104-6008443-0329526?v=glance&s=books
