I’ve been reading as much as I can find about this, but can not seem to find what I’m looking for. Everything I have read about crawl space insulation talks about the ground and the walls up to the sill plate. What about that space between the sill and the underside of the floor from the inside of the outside board to the inside of the foundation block.( excuse me for not knowing the correct terms) I also can not seem to find this area mentioned when insulating the full baesment either.
Thanks

You mean where the joist bay extends over to the rim or band joist, over the top of the sill plate and foundation wall? Insulate that whether or not you insulate the crawl space walls.
Sounds right, but how? Just fill with FG, with or with out vapor barrier or is there a better way to seal up each section between the joists.
I left mine without vapor barrier, but foamed all the joints with canned foam before stuffing with FG batts.
