i was in a house recently probably about 20 yrs old and in one of the rooms that had crown molding there were inside corner blocks that were the same profile only about 1/2″ larger in height and depth. it looked pretty nice and not at all like the molded plastic corners you see in homo despot or blowes. has anyone seen these before and if so where can i find a source? thanks fred.

I'm guessing what you saw was the same crown "bumped out" off the wall, make the corner, bump it back in.
If it was also heavier on the bottom, that was probably an additional piece they ripped and attached there to give that effect.
You could do this with any crown. Not too hard.
I have never personally seen anything like this for sale.
