cutting granite in the granite state
I have a chance to buy some granite countertop at a reasonable price but I would need to cut a sink hole in it. Is it possible to cut this with a diamond blade in a circular saw?

I would have it wet-cut at a stone shop. Corners need to be well-rounded.
sink cut out in granite
If you are trying to save money and use a top mounted sink, then all you need is a diamond blade and your skilsaw, or a small grinder, but if you want an undermount sink, then call a granite person who has all the tools and can polish the edges. In Houston they charge around $200. Good luck

Remember, it will be very fragile once the hole is cut.
