I’ve been cutting the panels with a solid rim diamond blade and it slow going with a fair amount of dust. Should I be cutting this with a carbide blade? How about 5/4 hardie trim? I did a house working for a contrctor that was hardie siding but can’t remember what blade we used.
I think it was a carbide blade in a chop saw.

Hardi and Irwin both make a FC blade - 4 tooth- about $25. Or a set of FC shears
You can use any carbide blade with decent results, but you won't use that blade for any thing else. It will be toast.
The diamond blade works good for me......dust sucks big time.... so hold your breath<g>
Thanks. I'll try an old carbide blade and see how it goes.
