If you’ve been on the fence about buying this or any other portable saw, then this should make you hop over.
Amazon is clearing out the Bosch 4000 saw with free folding stand and free outfeed support for $333 w/ free shipping.
And, if you scroll down the page a bit – they’ll give you a free Freud 60 tooth blade as a free gift as well.
Wow, I probably paid about twice that for my 4000 a few years back, and the rear outfeed costs about $30 normally, and the Freud blade is worth a good $55 at least.

A good deal even if you add in the rolling stand...

I just saw the Bosch saw with the portable wheeled stand at Otto Dukes in Corpus Christi for $499.95. Didn't try to deal with them yet but possible could get a better cash price or at least get the Freud blade thrown in.
The saw at Amazon with the same stand would come to $548.00 and the one at Otto Dukes would only be $541.19 even with sales tax.

What's the difference between teh 4000-07 and the 4000-09? The stand?
Edited 4/21/2006 2:00 pm ET by xosder11
The 07 expires next year. The 09 has the extended warrantee.

As any woodworker/carpenter/construction guy knows. You can't use "do I need it?" as a criteria for buying a new tool. Whether or not you'll even ever use it is besides the point! For all you confused people out there, I will give you the listed reasons for buying a new tool straight from "The Man Bible" Chapter 35 Section 72 Subsection D Paragraph 23 states:
You simply buy a new tool because:
a) It's there
b) You can
I hope this has cleared up any questions any of you may have for buying new tools, and hopefully relieve some of the guilty feelings you may have about purchasing that new tool with the money you should have spent on a new dishwasher for your wife.Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->

Im glad you brought this up.
You simply buy a new tool because:
a) It's there
b) You can
c) I work hard. I deserve it!
d) Ive got the money
e) Its was on clearence
f) Honey I saved you so much money today!!
DW always uses that , shes so proud of it,I thought it needed added here.
I hope this has cleared up any questions any of you may have for buying new tools, and hopefully relieve some of the guilty feelings you may have about purchasing that new tool with the money you should have spent on a new dishwasher for your wife.
I think now its a complete country and western song. As long as it works for her Im not gonna ever feel bad over it . Im so glad Im doing it her way. After all it was her idea wasnt it ?

Saw special with blade and B-clamps, super saving on shipment and opened new account Total 337.
Hey I bought a Bosch too. I am pretty excited. It was about 480.00 regular price, it was on sale for 332.00. I also picked up the Makita 14.4 impact for 148.00. I also picked up another bucket organizer for 8.00.
Grand total about 487.00. I got an impact, the one I wanted and the saw for what I would have paid for just the saw.
But you know what, I never know what deals I can combine together. I probably should have applied the 25.00 dollars off. Ohh well.
I can't wait to get it. If I put a freud glue line rip blade on the saw, can I expect cuts smooth enough to biscuit and glue? I haven't bought the blade yet, and I dont have a jointer.
I am trying to put together a "knockdown shop" like the article a few years ago in FHB.

Thanks for the heads up Julian! Just sent my order in.

I KID YOU NOT--I was on here and Amazon yesterday checking out jobsite T.saws and reviews, which easily convinced me to get this Bosch over the DW, Hit. etc. I would have gone out shopping locally for it Monday --and paid a lot more. Thanks Julian! ...and Y'all... I probably would've missed the free blade and promo code, too, at this late hour (or is it early?) Hurry up, Mr. Brownshorts, Deliver that puppy to my door!
I ordered one too. Nearly bought one for 550 a while back. I need a saw up in NH for my house project. Thanks for the tip.

Must have been a one day deal on the Bosch saw. It now is selling for $498 for the 4000-07. Unless I am looking in the wrong place. I clicked on your link and the saw was $498. Any ideas?
