I was considering using Trex RainEscape until I got the price! Not that we can’t afford it, but I almost don’t want to pay that just on sheer principle. I have alot of old metal roofing the PHO had used to provide a dry area under the deck, but I believe that was a contributing factor to the framing rotting out after only 9 years or so. Someone responded to my post in the general forum which I never thought of. I got prices for 304 stainless sheet and was going to buy that and just cut it up and bend 90 degree flanges facing up, insert into each bay, screw to each joist, then cover the top of each joist with butyl tape which would reach down onto the flange of each piece of stainless. The gentleman in the general forum suggested I cut up my steel roofing, bend flanges on that and then install as described above. Obviously the troughs will pitch away from the house and run into a gutter. The only issue I see is the potential for the PT lumber to react with the steel and rot it out. I was thinking of addressing this by using a 2″ strip of grace I+W in-between each flange and the joists before I nail it to the joists with hot dip galv nails. Brings my price down from~5K to around $500.00 and I have the brake in my yard. Anything else anyone can think of that I am missing? Thanks for any replies. Stay safe!

As an alternative approach, watch the FHB video "Project: Site-Built Under-Deck Drainage System" with Mike Guertin. This approach offers a less than $1 per sq. ft. under-deck drainage system. (At least that was the projected cost when the video was produced...)
You've posted 2 threads with the same name so you aren't going to get as many looks as you might otherwise. Edit this one and add the number 2 to the title or make some other change. The best thing would have been to just keep the first thread going.
